NewView
entries must provide all of the stated Program Distribution Rights and
meet ALL of the following criteria:

A
series of two or more related instructional programs sharing a common
title; |
 |
Programs
of the same general length (within 5 minutes of each other); |
 |
Programs
in the same subject area and for the same grade level; |
 |
Series
must be accompanied by appropriate supplemental support materials
designed to facilitate use by the intended users. |

NewView Limited is the designation for
programs that meet NewView criteria with the following exceptions:
 |
Limited Program Rights: A series or program that does not include all the stated
program distribution rights as defined in the FIRSTVIEW Entry
Criteria.
The specific limitations of these rights must be clearly stated
on the Program/Series Information (PSI)
form. |
 |
Limited Supplemental Support Material: A series or program that does not meet the requirements
specified for Supplemental Support Materials. |
 |
Varying Lengths: A series of programs with lengths varying in excess of 5 minutes of each
other. |
 |
Single Program: An entry of any length designed for instructional or in-service use. |

May
contain new programs added to existing series.

May
not have been previously presented at more than one regional
screening, or at any previous FIRSTVIEW.
(Exception: TomorrowView entries previously screened, and not
entered as a NewView or NewView Limited.) |

be available by July 1, 2002, for distribution during the 2002-2003
academic school year or by December 1, 2002, for second semester use. |

Presentation
time for any distributor submitting more than one entry in these
categories will be scheduled in a block according to the order
submitted in the FIRSTVIEW 2001 Distributor Entry Form |

TomorrowView |
|
TomorrowView
is the designation for pilots or proposals: |
 |
Pilots:
A series or program in development. |
 |
TomorrowView entries that will be available for distribution by July 1, 2001 may be
eligible for SATSCREEN 2001, at the option of the distributor, if the
distributor complied with all requirements and notifications specified
in SATSCREEN 2001 policies. |
 |
Proposals: Consortia projects or preproduction lease offers, which are not
available for distribution by July 1, 2002.
|
Presentation
Note:
Distributors are encouraged to present visuals.
If video is not available, slides or other forms of visual
presentation are strongly recommended.
|
 |
Evaluations: An evaluation or feedback form may be submitted with TomorrowView entry
forms for completion by FIRSTVIEW registrants during your presentation
time. An
Evaluation form must be received by NETA by June 18, 2001. |
TomorrowView Note:
TomorrowView entries not moved to the SATSCREEN 2001 ballot may
return to FIRSTVIEW 2002 as a NewView or NewView Limited entry and be
eligible for SATSCREEN 2002

Screening
Entry/Time Policy
|
|
Distributors are limited to 22 screening entries. Screening time is limited to 20
hours. Should the total
number of entries in NewView, NewView Limited and TomorrowView exceed 20
hours – the length of the first entry of each distributor in each
category will remain as specified. Subsequent
entries in each category will be reduced by one minute.

PrintView |
 |
All
distributors with program entries in FIRSTVIEW 2001 will receive a
tabbed section in the FIRSTVIEW notebook and table space for display
of publications and handouts at no additional charge.

 |
Distributors
with product, but who do not have program entries in FIRSTVIEW 2001,
may register as a PrintView distributor. PrintView distributors are
provided with a tabbed section in the FIRSTVIEW notebook for their
PrintView Entry Form, and table space for display of publications and
handouts at FIRSTVIEW 2001.

Other
services and equipment may be available for a fee.
