5 - Ten-Minute Programs
Grade(s):  3 - 6
Curriculum:  Internet Training for Students & Teachers

Want to bring the wonders of the 'information superhighway' to your classroom, but not sure where to begia? Exploring the Internet 11 is a video series that provides your elementary and middle school students - and you - with a basic understanding of how

this new, world-wide means of interactive communication works. Two programs are directed at our students, and three are designed as in-service programs that help you prepare for student questions. The series was produced in 1995 and 1997.

The focus is on the benefits that students can obtain by using the system. The series does not teach hardware specific techniques and does not intimidate teachers by dwelling on the Intemet's technical support.

Teacher Guide:  The teacher's guide accompanying the series includes lesson descriptions, pre- and post-viewing activities, a glossary and several helpful resource lists.
