  • A 15-minute video profile of a prominent woman researcher at work in the field and her lab.
    An illustrated biography on the life and work of the scientist and an account of her research. The biographies characterize what each scientist was like in her youth, to make her more "real" and appealing to your students.

  • An activity book that includes five, 50-minute classroom actitivities related to the topic of the scientist's research. Activities are easy to use, requiring only the materials provided in the kit or that are readily available in the classroom. 'Ihe activities are designed to be participatory and inquiry-based, so students will view science as a constructive process requiring their creativity. The activities may be used in science, math, social studies and art classes.

  • An interactive CD-ROM is included in the Sea Otter, Rainforest and Parasite Sleuth kits.

Each Wonderwise kit combines hands-on science activities %ith personal insights from the scientist. The idea is for students to observe science the way the scientist does.
