Program/Series Description

Character Education has been mandated in many states. The 8 specific qualities addressed in this interactive series follow that mandate. The series features a diverse group of high school students in moderated discussions and provides dramatized examples of behavior for analysis.

Each of the programs focuses on a different character quality. Individual students voice his/her definition of that aspect of character and how it relates to their own lives. In addition to the studnets' ideas, examples are offered by adults in various professions. A role-play scenario presents situations in which that character quality is demonstrated both negatively and positively.

At six key points in each program, a challenge question is posed to viewers asking for a written response to be discussed at the end of viewing the program.
