| Termination of License Upon expiration of the license period, a licensed agency may either contract to renew their license or submit a completed and signed Certificate of Termination/Erasure to warrant that the licensed agency has erased all tapes and notified all schools of the termination of the license and that all taped copies held in school collections must be erased, or Life of Tape Retention Rights purchased by the school directly from ITS. School Life of Tape Retention Rights Life of Tape Retention Rights do not include duplication or non-broadcast distribution rights, and must be purchased directly from ITS by individual school building(s) at a cost per-program per-copy based on the number of continuous years the series was leased prior to the termination of the lease: 1 - Year = $75.00 per program - per copy 2 - Years = $50.00 per program - per copy 3 - More = $25.00 per program - per copy |
Non-Simultaneous Cablecast Non-simultaneous cablecast is allowed only if the school district or LEA which holds the license is in charge of the programs, and the cable channel is a dedicated channel "licensed" to the school district or LEA obtaining the broadcast rights, and the cablecast does not serve areas of students not included in the K-12 population figure. Satellite Origination The licensee is authorized to use satellite transmission provided that a message is broadcast before and after the program stating that the use of the program without appropriate licenses is a copyright violation and that the satellite program schedule is released only to those schools with students included in the K-12 population figure. |
