Program Lease Types Available A current and verified Client User Profile is required.
Statewide Lease Yes Lease for state-wide networks or education departments based on current total state-wide K-12 student population.
Single Lease Yes Limited to a single station serving schools within their broadcast service region. Lease calculated based on current total K-12 documented student population.

Multiple Agency Lease

Yes Limited to agency(s) with contiguous broadcast service regions within one state. Lease calculated based on total current K-12 student population for all agencies, plus additional fees, plus 75% per agency, . One coordinating agency is required. PMI reserves the right to approve eligibility of multi-agency cooperatives.

Termination of Lease
Upon expiration of the license period, a licensed agency may either contract to renew their licence or submit a completed and signed Certificate of Erasure to warrant that the licensed agency has erased all tapes, and notified all schools and central record sites of the termination of lease and that all taped copies must be erased, or Life of Tape Retention Rights purchased by the school directly from PMI.

Life of Tape Retention
Life of Tape Retention Rights are only offered to schools already in possession of taped copies and do not include rights for broadcast, duplication or distribution beyond the physical confines of the school building. The standard rate of $1.00 per minute per-program per-copy will be used to calculate costs unless a lower rate is available. A chart listing Life of Tape Retention costs per series is available on the PMI website.
Non-Simultaneous Cable Origination
The leasing agency may add these rights for schools, school districts, or other agencies operating an educational cable channel at an additional rate of 15% of lease per originating agency. Agencies must be specified in the Client Profile.
