Criteria |

eMedia 2005 will offer content intended to meet the needs of an
ever-changing education environment. Content will be viewed and
evaluated by education managers at public television stations,
departments of education, media centers, and educational service
agencies. Pricing, policies, use rights and details of content offerings
will be posted to the Instructional Technology Marketplace website (www.itmonline.com)
by August 1, 2005 and will remain throughout the year. |
Entries must include the requirements listed below. Additional listings
are typical of available rights or other attributes. Agencies wanting to
acquire any rights to the content may check the website for the
particular rights in which they are interested, and may request an
eMedia DVD for extended program previewing, and use direct links to
contact each participating distributor. |

Typical
Content |

A
series of two or more related instructional programs sharing a
common title.

Programs of the same general length (within 5 minutes of each
other) or that vary in excess of 5 minutes of each other.

Series/programs in the same subject area and for the same grade
level.

New
programs added to existing series.

Series/programs may have appropriate supplemental support
materials designed to facilitate use by the intended users.

Series/programs already in distribution that have significant
relevance to current educational needs.

Single
programs designed for instructional use or professional
development.

Entry Requirements |

Availability
-
Programs (content) presented must be available for use during
the 2006-2007 academic school year.
-
For
any entry with support materials, they must be available August
1, 2006.
Pricing:
-
Presenters must submit a Distributor’s Policy and Pricing (DPP)
form online for entries specifying a firm program leasing price
structure and firm policy on all rights, by the entry deadline
of July 30, 2005.

Prices
for support materials available for purchase must be accurately
stated online. If exact prices are not known, price ceilings
must be stated and updated online in the PSI form.

Typical
Distribution Rights |
-
Broadcast Transmission: Rights for unlimited transmissions during the school year for
programs presented. Unless otherwise agreed to, these transmissions
are intended for school use only.

School Off-Air Record and use rights for specific terms may be available at no extra
charge for programs presented. Any charge for these rights will be
clearly specified online.

Cable Origination:
(Non-simultaneous Schedule) Rights for educational cable channels,
serving all or some of the leasing agency’s student population may
be available; any charges for these rights will be clearly
specified.

Duplication/Distribution: Rights that provide for non-broadcast tape distribution of programs
for the student population covered in the lease agreement for the
series or program; any charges for these rights will be clearly
specified. This right does not include hard copy sales or rental.

Internet/Intranet: Rights that provide for use over the Internet or an agency Intranet,
or similar use, for the student population covered in the lease
agreement for the series or program. This Right may or may not be
included in other use rights. Check each presenter's
policies for details.

Other Product Availability or Attributes
|

Program or series may,
or may not, have accompanying instructional support materials
designed to facilitate use by the intended users available or in
development.

Entry may include
Internet, Intranet or other Electronic Rights, such as data-casting,
for the student population covered in the lease agreement. Check
each presenter’s policies for complete details.

Entry may be available
for lease and/or purchase on videotape, DVD, CD-ROM or multiple
digital formats.
-
Content containing
language or situations not appropriate for classroom use should be
“flagged” on the PSI form.

Presenters will be
asked to verify the initial production (copyright) date for their
entry
